Balancing Tribe Attacks and Tribe Defenses

You can easily get support from multiple tribe members such that your defending army is enormous. However, on the attack side, while you can time your attacks so that they hit in near unison, each attack is separately calculated against the defenders. It would be much better to actually combine armies and attack all at once. Here is how it would work:
1) Right now you can attack or support a village, but we need to add a third option which is 'rally attack' or 'tribe attack' or similar
2) For this third option you specify a specific number of hours/minutes after your troops would arrive (or just some specific time in the future) for the battle to actually occur (maybe you give the attack a name or it is auto-generated such as 'Tribe Hells Gate attack on village x 1'
3) Your tribe can then select the village and the option to 'join' the tribe attack. Certainly, they need to be able to get their troops there in time which can be calculated (even including officers)
4) Coordination would still have to occur so that if multiple paladins are sent they have the correct weapon selected (and oh by the way, the way paladins are assigned to attack groups should change - they should attack based on weapon type not just strongest based on provisions) and only one augmentation per attack group will apply. If no weapon is selected then the paladin can attack with strongest provision group.

Good idea, seen it applied in other games so hopefully it will get implemented here

Yes, it is implemented in other games and does work. I've mainly seen a window of like 10 mins where troops can land, both offensively and defensively before the first round of battle happens.
But in those games, the formulas and equations are based on a percentage lost from both sides kind of thing.
in this game it's a 1 round, live-or-die thing. Ranger is very important for this very thing. and that's why convincing fakes are so vital for win probability.

Bad idea. Coordination, timing, and fakes require a degree of skill. Reducing the skill in favor of an entirely math based outcome sounds really lame.

This would only really be used when tribes are at war, so maybe that is one caveat. I disagree that it is a math based outcome only and therefore lame. Defenses can already amass, why not offenses? No one is taking away the other aspects of attack/defense/fakes on the singular level, but I want to see a battle report of tribe vs. tribe with 100,000+ troop loss :)
