Sorry about that, Fitter.

Unfortunately no, we don't have an update to give you at this time. I will re-check with Zeltino and ask him if he's heard anything, but I don't think he has.

Norris, the battle system makes sense if you know much about medieval battles and armies. Infantry fight infantry, Knights & Calvary (LC) usually flank the defenders position as the opposing side tries to defend against, and Archers shoot past their own troops which is usually the defending archers. The more troops you have the more Generals/Commanders/Officers you have. I think the system is simple with out be too overly complex like most RTS games are.

why are axes needed to escort rams ? is there a perfect ratio ? seems like if provisions are needed to make rams they would be battle ready as it is if rams attack a wall with zero troops on either side rams lose everything

Lol, you could literally send one axe with a ram nuke and it would be just as effective. It's almost comical thinking of one lonely axeman pushing the all the rams on his own and lining them up around the enemy village and using them one at a time to break open their walls.

What you have to remember is rams are disposable and cheap. The only pain about them is they take time to build. So just send them with your primary nuke and you don't have to worry about how or why they work. xP

Unfortunately, no.
I'll check with Bruthor and see if he's going to make anymore anytime soon.

I still have yet to see an answer to questions asked about pally weapons and how/when they are applied. I have looked all over and get mixed answers from the video as well as from other mods on forums.

1) Which unit does the paladin attack with and does it matter in the end? In the videos it is explained as "the strongest unit" but then also references axemen because "they have most provisions". What I do not understand is which is it using as using the example below it would vary based on that answer:
100 LC = 400 prov. = (130*100) 13,000 Combat Str
350 Axe = 350 prov = (45*350) 15,750 Combat Str
So, which does the Paladin fight with, LC or Axe?

If the paladin has a weapon equipped with an attacking army, and he fights with only one group, do you need to ensure that this is the weapon he uses or will the boost still carry over to the intended group for the weapon regardless of which group the paladin fights for?

It seems to me that if the paladin will only boost the group he fights with, most of the weapon options are really just wasted as you will almost never have a group of rams that will be stronger then your main attacking force units (axe/LC/MA) so Carol's Morning Star would be essentially useless.

The other question is if the fights are done in waves, which wave is the paladin going to fight with on Defense? Is it based off of the "strongest unit" of the attacking army which would then dictate how many troops defend against that wave? If that is the case then the weapon would need to be selected based on the attackers army to best counter the strongest unit and have the most benefit from the defensive bonus as the rest of the waves would potentially not receive the bonus of that weapon.

I would love to see some clarification on the Paladin and Paladin weapon mechanics!

How I was taught, the paladin will enter into the biggest group being provision wise, so equip him with the largest population weapon.
As you may have noticed, survivors join the next bracket of battle, so the paladin will drop down as well.
Tokano can hopefully add more depth however

well i guess these are the types of answers you get from a game where no one gets paid to work. And the suckers that pay to play ;)

The battle system seems to be a secret. At the moment it doesn't work as stated in the vid. So the video is useless more or less.

i dont know what you guys are complaining about. the battle video made everything clear, except for cats and rams.
as for the paladin, he is in the largest provision group and if he survives, he goes to the next battle group. so you might want to make the infantry group the largest so that the paladin makes it to all 3 battles. naturally, he is only useful to the group his weapon is based on.
mebbe make sure the paladin fights in the group that his weapon is for. need to do the offense math for that.
as for defense, its not clear where he would go.

Defending units arent grouped by their type but type of troop is divided into 3 groups, based on the attackers build, my guessis pally is whith the biggest

what are berserkers ? infantry ? which group they contribute too ?

according to the battle calculator they stay as last , so infantry and cavalry comes 1st and whatever is last or next will be confronted with berserkers , that seems odd to me , is the battle calculator wrong ?

Well i disagree, if u try hard enough to can find the exact equations used :D

you have to try pretty hard :) also if there is a combination of defending troops its harder to get the exact number , my guess is it would take decades before you figure out the exact math, 10000s of battles :) not impossible , but might as well

You see, you work with one group first, say axe vs swords :D than you try axe/lc vs swords, figure out everything without rams, than add in the rams, trebs :D

Don't look at it as figuring everything out at once, find an equation oneat the time :D

you only see the end result , you do not see the result between atack levels, that makes it much harder to figure it out , unless of course you attacking yourself and you know exactly what you're against
