How is morale calculated?

As the title says, I want to know how the game caclulates morale and how the morale penalty works. Like its very strange how it works somtimes and I just want to know a sure fire way to figure out a penalty for my enemy.

I know its based of your points and theirs.. then by church loyalty/aka pally and then also night bonus.

Morale is decided on two things
Points value and time since last restart
I actually had lower morale on a bigger player b/c he started later.
