Answered Knocking farm to 1

So... if some guy is hiding all his troops somewhere, and I knock his farm down to 1, I can understand why his village wouldn't shrink, but shouldn't all the troops that are supported by that village die off?

No, the troops still exist, but he cannot do anything else until that village's farm is able to support more population again.
That is to say if he hides his troops and you cat his farm and knock his wall down, he has to rebuild farm or kill troops before he can rebuild wall.
