I have had games that I have played before where you could skin your village/base. You only controlled 1-2 bases though in this game so I thought a cool little twist they could have in this game would be a creeping effect with villages you own(think of star craft 2 creep). So lets say I spend 1000 crowns to get a lava effect that would creep with my villages. So I could turn a province I own into a lava dead zone. Not sure if the game would support this even but would be pretty cool.
Another option not as advanced as this or as cool would just be some crowns for making my village look different in terms of like walls or colors or something.
